Tim Buonagurio (which translates to “Good Omen” in Italian) has over twenty years of tattooing experience, beginning in 1992 with an apprenticeship alongside Phil Colvin at Tornado Tattoo in Atlanta.
Since then, Tim has worked in several high-profile shops across the nation, including Tattoos by Lou in South Beach, Urban Tribe Tattoos in Georgia, and Staircase Tattoo in Santa Cruz. With artistic influences ranging from Virgil Finlay to Frank Frazetta to Stan Lee.
Tim is a comic artist at heart who has become well known for his intricate black and grey work and realistic portraits. Beyond this aesthetic, Tim is able to work intimately with his clients to draft unique pieces based on their own vision and personal taste.
A firm believer in the idea that anything – a photograph, a memory, a concept – can be translated into a tattoo, Tim is open to all styles and methodologies and won’t consider a piece finished until his customer is satisfied and happy with their artwork.
Good Omen isn’t just another tattoo shop, but is the culmination of a long, steady life’s work, beginning when Tim was just a kid playing around with a box of crayons, dreaming of what he would one day create.
